Be the Change
KEEP INDIAN RIVER BEAUTIFUL, Inc., "KIRB", is a 501-C (3) non –profit organization and is the local KEEP AMERICA BEAUTIFUL affiliate since 1997.   We believe that education combined with service will bring about a behavioral change in each individual and instill the desire to affect change in the world.  As each person works toward a common goal, the result is magnified across the community or state or country. Our focus areas are waste reduction, litter prevention, beautification, conservation and education. KIRB strives to make our community more clean and beautiful. We have free supplies of trash bags, gloves, shovels and more for anyone planning a project.

Zero Waste Challenge

KIRB is challenging all residents to reduce their waste with the “I WANT TO BE RECYCLED” challenge. If each person increased their recycling by
5 Pounds each month, we can reach the goal of 50% recycling in 2015. KIRB is working with Keep America Beautiful and The Ad Council to make “I want to be recycled”  billboards which will be displayed on 6 Waste Management Recycling Trucks and 1 Republic Service Truck. We are also playing the “I Want To Be Recycled” PSA’s on both Clear Channel and The Treasure and Space coast radio stations.
